Comments
The assault to Moncada barracks, - second most important Cuban military fortress -, on 1953, was first attempt of Fidel Castro and his forces to take control of government.
This coin have been minted using 2 different obverses, the older one, with smaller coat of arms, where the 3 strips are plain, and some newer, using bigger coat of arms, with the 3 transverse strips are reeded (picture shown), not described on Krause. Also, on Krause is described as existing thick and thin lettering on obverse and reverse sides.
