Comments
Fouad (1868/1936) acceded to the Sultanate of Egypt on the death of his brother Hussein Kamal in 1917. His independence was recognized by the United Kingdom in 1922, and he took the title of King of Egypt, reigning under the name of Fouad I until his death in 1936.
