Cuba was one of the first countries to have railroads in the world, currently with total 8,193 km, 5,800km are for passenger use, and is the only Caribbean island with train service.
Construction of lines started on 1830, and 7 years later started running. Cuban railroad was 3rd on the world, after UK and USA.
